WoW Forever: Dalaran dungeon access, key and quests

Excavation Site: Wetlands quests — where to start each one
Alliance and Horde quest pickup locations for Excavation Site: Wetlands, with prerequisites, the final-boss relic chain and notable rewards.
The short version
- As of October 4, 11 level-24 quests are listed: 7 Alliance and 4 Horde. Blizzard lists the dungeon at 26–31; the beta cap is 30.
- Collect outdoor quests before entering. The final boss's Titan Relic starts a different follow-up chain for each faction.
- Blizzard says the Titan Relic is now returned for the follow-up. Alliance: Lost Relic Carry → Prehistoric Prism; Horde: Elder Knowledge → Earthen Echo. You do not need to obtain another relic. Check your bag and the new quest before leaving the quest giver.
Before you travel
Level 24 is the quest requirement shown in the current database, not a recommended level for clearing the dungeon. Blizzard lists Excavation Site: Wetlands at levels 26–31 and has raised the beta cap to 30.

Alliance: 7 quests to check
Stop at Menethil Harbor before your run; Songblade Search starts in Redridge. Highland Hides is part of James Halloran's chain, but beta sources disagree on the exact prerequisite. Check which step the tanner offers your character.

Visit Orgrimmar and, for the Dragonmaw chain, Hammerfall before looking for the agent near the entrance. His precise position is not stable enough to give coordinates.

Which rewards matter?
Changing Tastes offers Satchel of Potions as a Horde reward choice; Alliance players receive one from Heartwoven. The relic follow-ups offer Heavehammer, Healer's Staff and a faction-specific cloak. Read the stats for your specialization before choosing.
Relic: October 8 fix
Blizzard says the Titan Relic is now returned for the follow-up. Alliance: Lost Relic Carry → Prehistoric Prism; Horde: Elder Knowledge → Earthen Echo. You do not need to obtain another relic. Check your bag and the new quest before leaving the quest giver.
