WoW Forever library books: 10 locations and the 20-book reward

Find 10 different library books, turn them in for a necklace, then decide whether the 20-book ring is worth the extra trip. Alliance and Horde locations.

The beta library collection is available to every class. Find distinct titles and hand the books to your faction librarian; the 10-book Friend of the Library milestone offers a necklace choice, and 20 books unlock another reward. These coordinates come from current beta database entries and player reports; a later build may move a book.

Alliance: 10 different books

These are ten different titles. If a location is contested or too dangerous, come back later; no single route is mandatory.

The eastern and Kalimdor clusters can be collected separately. Plan for hostile mobs in Alterac and the Wailing Caverns outer cave.

Turn-in, rewards and beta limits

Garion Wendell is in Stormwind’s Mage Tower (/way 49.0 86.4); Owen Thadd is in Undercity’s Magic Quarter (/way 74.0 32.4). At 10 titles, the quest offers Scholarly Pendant or Erudite’s Amulet. At 20, the listed choices are Field Researcher’s Loop and Philanthropist’s Ring. Inspect the live tooltip before choosing: beta player reports flag a class restriction on one ring. The list above is a collection checklist, not a shortest-route claim; Wetlands, Alterac, Sludge Fen and the Wailing Caverns outer cave can be dangerous at low level. Duplicate copies of the same title do not advance a distinct-title milestone.

Mage scrolls are a separate system: use the mage scroll guide if you are trying to decode one of those.

The 25-book stage is another Greater Friend of the Library quest (82208), distinct from the 20-book stage (79536). After the October 8 patch, Truthseeker’s Bow requires level 40 like the other two rewards at this stage. It is no longer a gear target at the level 30 cap.
