WoW Forever beta access: opt-in, invitation and installation

The short answer

Did you opt in but see no beta in Battle.net? That does not mean your registration failed: Blizzard selects players during the test, and access appears on the selected WoW account. Purchasing an eligible bundle is a separate route. You do not need to buy one to enter the opt-in draw.

Two ways in, with different guarantees

Check and install in Battle.net

1. 01

   Check the license

Sign in to the Battle.net account you used to opt in or purchase. Under Your Game Accounts, verify that a WoW: Forever beta license is attached. A message or a claimed key is not enough.

2. 02

   Select the beta client

In the Battle.net desktop app, open World of Warcraft. Above Play, use Game Version → In Development → World of Warcraft: Forever Beta, then Install.

3. 03

   If the entry is missing

For an eligible purchase, allow the stated 30 minutes, restart the launcher and check that you selected the correct WoW account. For opt-in alone, an absent entry means access has not been granted yet; keep the opt-in in place and wait for a selection.

Dates and what happens after beta

Blizzard lists October 21, 2026 as the last full beta day. At launch on November 4 at 3 p.m. Pacific time, Forever is included with an active WoW subscription or game time; the optional beta-access bundle is not required to play at launch. There is no announced public acceptance rate for opt-in, so individual Reddit reports cannot establish your odds.
