The short version

  • Classic habits are not enough to rank the races.
  • Undead Paladins have a confirmed story of their own.
  • Faction popularity needs evidence, not impressions.

Changed racials, no established winner

Blizzard announces two active and two passive racials per race, aiming for comparable offensive power. Cannibalize also restores mana; Will of the Forsaken removes its targeted effects without subsequent immunity.

That does not establish Alliance superiority. A useful comparison needs a specialization, an encounter type and current values. A situational advantage cannot settle the entire faction question.

Undead Paladins have their own story

Blizzard confirms a Forsaken paladin journey tied to Bandarion Keep and an epic mount quest at level 60.

If that character fantasy appeals to you, it is a concrete reason to consider Horde. It does not promise the strongest specialization or a universal raid advantage.

World buffs need a more precise answer

Public discussions report buffs being disabled in instances while remaining outdoors. The thread reviewed contains second-hand accounts, not a detailed official answer. These reports do not establish the removal of all world buffs.

Our advice: agree on a faction with your friends, then compare racials for your intended role. The sources reviewed do not establish which faction will attract more players at launch.
