WoW Forever professions: planning your first campsite
Before choosing professions in WoW Forever, consider what you can bring to camp. Here are the confirmed rules and a practical way to plan with friends.

Find useful WoW Forever profession recipes: Alliance vendors, Merchant’s Favor prices, skill requirements and item levels to check before spending your currency.
For Alliance, start at the Three Corners market in Redridge Mountains, around 10.5 / 72.7. WoW Forever Talents recorded its merchant stock on 20 September. The selection below pairs those purchases with item details checked in Wowhead’s Forever database.
For Horde, look west of the Crossroads in the Barrens for the Durotar Supply and Logistics outpost. That direction comes from Shipping Label (98248). The vendor names and prices in the table below still refer to the Alliance stock record.
Prices reflect the beta record and may change.
Updated 21 September: Shipping Label provides a direction for the Horde outpost, replacing the unresolved Durotar/Barrens location note.
The price buys the recipe; crafting materials cost extra. “Skill” is the documented learning requirement, while “Character” is the level needed to use the finished item. The dash for dynamite means the item page we checked displays no character-level requirement.
This selection favours a known acquisition source and a benefit you can compare. It is not a ranking of every item in the game.
| Recipe / crafted item | Alliance vendor | Favor | Skill | Character |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Veteran’s Chain Belt | Stondry Darkhammer | 30 | 45 | 12 |
| Brawler’s Leather Belt | Daniel Stitchsong | 30 | 60 | 12 |
| Silky Boots | Mivin Shadowweave | 30 | 60 | 12 |
| SAF-T Dynamite | Fritz Fizzle | 45 | 25 | — |
| Lesser Mageblood Elixir | Nina Surefire | 45 | 75 | 25 |
| Orb of Mystic Insight | Alynsia | 45 | 140 | 25 |
Veteran’s Chain Belt requires level 12 and provides +4 Strength, +3 Agility and +4 Stamina. It is worth comparing for a mail-wearing melee character whose current belt offers few stats. Guard’s Chain Belt trades the 3 Agility for 3 Defense: consider it if tanking is your priority.
Stondry Darkhammer sells each plan for 30 Favor, with Blacksmithing 45 required to learn it. The Veteran recipe uses 12 Copper Bar, 4 Rough Grinding Stone, 2 Pristine Leather and 2 Small Lustrous Pearl. Both the plan and belt bind on pickup. Buy them on the character who will use them.
Brawler’s Leather Belt offers +4 Strength, +4 Agility and +3 Stamina at level 12. Compare it if your leather-wearing character benefits from those stats. Daniel Stitchsong sells its pattern for 30 Favor; it requires Leatherworking 60 and uses materials including 2 Pristine Leather and 1 Shadowgem. The finished belt binds on pickup.
Silky Boots provide +4 Stamina and +3 Intellect at level 12. Mivin Shadowweave’s pattern costs 30 Favor and requires Tailoring 60. You need 8 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 2 Fine Thread, 2 Cerulean Dye and 1 Spider’s Silk. The boots bind on pickup. For either purchase, weigh the actual upgrade against the material cost before crafting.
The Brawler’s Leather Hood pattern costs 30 Merchant’s Favor from Daniel Stitchsong at Three Corners and requires 100 Leatherworking, according to the September 20 merchant log. That vendor is a documented route to the recipe.
The leather hood requires level 20 and has 76 Armor, +8 Agility and +10 Stamina. It binds on pickup: compare it for the character who will craft it.
The item data also attributes the pattern to Lady Sarevess in Blackfathom Deeps. That attribution does not establish a beta drop. The documented purchase does not rule out a drop, but it gives you an acquisition route without planning runs around that assumption.
Fritz Fizzle sells the SAF-T Dynamite schematic for 45 Favor. It requires Engineering 25 and uses 2 Rough Blasting Powder and 1 Linen Cloth per item. The tooltip lists 30 Fire damage within 5 yards and a one-minute cooldown.
Compare that effect with explosives you can already make before buying it. A new recipe does not guarantee more damage. A profession discussion raises this exact concern: one player likes the new crafted gear but is still looking for Engineering’s low-level appeal. It is a reason to compare effects carefully, rather than shop by recipe colour.
Lesser Mageblood Elixir restores 6 mana every 5 seconds for 30 minutes, but requires character level 25. Nina Surefire sells the recipe for 45 Favor. It needs Alchemy 75 and uses 3 Kingsblood and 1 Empty Vial. Below level 25, it will not improve your next leveling session.
Orb of Mystic Insight provides +6 Intellect and +7 Spell Power in the off-hand slot at level 25. Alynsia sells its formula for 45 Favor, with Enchanting 140 required. The orb binds on pickup. An enchanter using a one-handed weapon can consider it after comparing the combination with their current weapon.
Wowhead describes a loop of looting crates, supplying the requested goods and handing them to your faction’s organisation. A 19 September beta comment reports 50 Favor from the initial quest and 5 from some low-level crates. That is one player’s report, not a universal reward schedule.
Our advice: check the crate’s request before buying materials. Compare its completion cost with the recipe you want. A cheap recipe is still a poor purchase if you never use the item.
Blizzard confirms that advanced camping blueprints come from dungeon bosses, naming the Alchemy Lab, Tanning Rack and larger campfires among the examples. The announcement does not pair individual blueprints with bosses.
The sources checked for this guide do not establish a reliable farming target for those plans. The fishing plans covered in our guide have the same limitation: finding them in the client does not identify their drop source. Choose a dungeon farming target whose loot is actually documented.
