WoW Forever Rogue leveling build: talents 10–20

Rogue Solo Combat in WoW Forever: level 10–20 talent order, selected rank effects and practical advice for adapting your leveling build to solo quests.

The short version

  • Rogue · Solo Combat · 10–20
  • Combat 8 / Assassination 3

Rogue — Combat, solo variant

Cheaper Sinister Strike, a stronger finisher and fewer misses. Our solo variant ends in Assassination: Remorseless Attacks rewards consecutive kills. It replaces Icy Veins’ Puncturing Wounds choice, which leans more heavily on Backstab and rear positioning.

The table allocates all 11 points from levels 10 to 20, without the Legacy Talented bonus. Talent names match the English calculator entries.

What these talents change while leveling

Improved Sinister Strike 2/2 cuts the energy cost by 5. Improved Eviscerate 3/3 raises finisher damage by 20%. These opening points strengthen attacks that do not require standing behind your target.

Precision 3/3 adds 3 percentage points of hit chance. After an eligible kill, Remorseless Attacks adds 40 percentage points of critical strike chance to the next qualifying ability, with a 20-second window.

Malice 1/5 finishes the bracket with 1 percentage point of critical strike chance for attacks and poisons. The final split is Combat 8 / Assassination 3; consecutive kills are the reason for using that second tree.

The tradeoff to know

If you usually attack from behind a tank’s target, compare the linked Icy Veins Backstab-oriented variant. For solo quests, this route favors kill chains over a bonus that is harder to use while facing the enemy.

Combat rotation at level 20

Against a durable target, build points with Sinister Strike and maintain Slice and Dice. In a physical-heavy party, consider Expose Armor when the target will survive long enough for the group to benefit. Avoid refreshing an effect on an enemy that is about to die.

Which weapon should you look for first?

Look for a slow main-hand sword, axe, mace or fist weapon to support Sinister Strike, and learn the matching weapon skill. The specialist guide lists Cruel Barb from the Deadmines as one option. Compare its damage with your current weapon before farming: a loot recommendation is not an upgrade for every character.

Choose your quests and prepare the next step

For quest order, our comparison covers RestedXP, Zygor and alternatives.
