WoW Forever: leveling talent builds for all nine classes to level 20

Leveling a Warrior, Mage, Hunter or another class in WoW Forever? Follow our level 10–20 talent paths for all nine classes, with clear reasons for each choice.

The short version

  • A dedicated guide for each of the nine classes.
  • Level 10–20 talents, solo choices and tradeoffs explained.

Which talents should you take while leveling in Forever?

Choose your class below to open its leveling guide. Each page covers all 11 points from level 10 to 20, talent effects and situations where you should adapt the route.

Each route now has its own page. This overview connects the classes; coverage remains the initial beta bracket, without claiming to rank level-60 builds.

Warrior — Fury

Critical strikes, rage and a slow: the Fury route for consecutive fights.

Paladin — Retribution

A shorter Holy Strike cooldown; those two Holy points delay Seal of Command beyond level 20.

Hunter — Beast Mastery

Auto attacks, damage with an active pet and movement between targets.

Rogue — Combat, solo variant

A solo variant for Sinister Strike and consecutive kills, rather than Backstab.

Priest — wand and Shadow

Start with a wand, then use Spirit Tap to reduce downtime; Mind Flay comes later.

Shaman — Enhancement

Critical strikes and offensive value from Intellect, then mana savings at 20 with Shamanistic Focus.

Mage — Frost

Hit chance, freezes and Ice Lance at 20: a questing route with control.

Warlock — Affliction

Instant Corruption first, then mana recovery and fewer failed spells.

Druid — Feral Combat

Movement talents prepare for Cat Form at 20; they do not speed up the earlier bear levels.

Adjust the build to the character you are actually playing

A priest without a wand gets no benefit from Wand Specialization yet. A rogue attacking behind a tank may prefer the linked guide’s Backstab points. A hunter repeatedly reviving a pet has a practical reason to invest further in Improved Revive Pet. Start with the suggested path, then address the problem you encounter.

Early corrections in the calculator’s Reddit thread concern reading talent trees and ranks. We use the beta export here instead of reusing a Classic tree. Talent data adapted from Talents Forever by Chris Baldwin under CC BY 4.0; selection and explanations are our own.

Following a route with RestedXP or Zygor

Your build handles talent choices; a leveling guide helps with where to go next. RestedXP already receives Forever adaptations. Zygor targets launch. Our comparison covers availability and map tools for players who prefer choosing their own route.
