WoW Forever: RestedXP, Zygor and leveling addons

Fix the part that slows you down

Want a quest route to follow? Start by looking at RestedXP. Quest Pins and TomTom handle smaller jobs: finding a quest giver or reaching known coordinates. Zygor belongs in the comparison too, with a different release schedule.

Checked against author information on September 21, 2026; we have not tested these addons in game. The table separates available releases from planned guides.

Leveling guides and addons: which tool fits?

These version numbers are dated reference points. Choose the latest Forever file on the project page; the main download may target a different client.

RestedXP: Forever routes under active development

RestedXP combines a free addon with paid guides. Its Forever offering plans questing, discovery and dungeon routes; development is ongoing. Check what is included before buying.

September 21 updates cover Skyborne and Tirisfal routes, among others. Version 4.11.7 also fixes beta errors. These are concrete compatibility updates, without proving complete coverage or the fastest leveling time.

Zygor: planned for launch

Zygor is preparing Forever for Elite subscribers without an announced extra charge. The team does not plan beta guides. As of September 21, this is a launch option.

Quest Pins shows the start, not the whole quest

It marks known quest givers, without objective tracking or turn-in pins. Its author warns that some Forever-only quests are still missing from the database. An empty map does not prove you have finished the zone.

Check the guides before entering a new dungeon, too. Missing automated markers should not leave your quest log empty.

Navigation and tracking do different jobs

TomTom provides coordinates and an arrow to your destination. EQ Objective Tracker lets you move, resize and sort your quest panel. Use one to find your way and the other to keep your journal manageable.

A tracker is not a complete database of Forever quests. Start with the setting you need, then check it on a simple quest before adding more modules.

Leatrix Plus: enable what you need

Its Forever release offers separate convenience options, including junk selling and automatic repairs. Leave automatic quest turn-ins off if you want time to read the dialogue.

The r/WowUI community list also flags issues with Leatrix. That is a reason to check your own setup, not evidence that every release is broken.

Install and test on a nearby quest

For a guided route today, RestedXP is the documented candidate here. If you prefer choosing quests yourself, start with Quest Pins and TomTom. Check prerequisites when an arrow disagrees with your journal: older Classic routes cannot account for every new Forever quest.

   Select Forever files

   Select your Forever installation in your addon manager and check the game version attached to the file.

2. 02

   Test one addon at a time

   Restart the client, enable one addon at a time and try a nearby quest. If something fails, you will know which addition to isolate.
